Emory Eye Center Offers Retina Service On Atlanta’s Northside
New Eye Center Physician Steven Yeh Will See Patients at The Emory Clinic - Perimeter

Steven Yeh, MD(ATLANTA) In a move to provide increased services and convenience for patients on the north side of Atlanta, Emory Eye Center now offers Retina clinics at its Perimeter location on Johnson Ferry Road. While The Emory Clinic at Perimeter has offered refractive surgery (Emory Vision) for several years—and Cornea clinics more recently— its growing services now include Retina care for those living in the north metro area.

Retina services are increasingly needed as our population grows. That care may include treatment for diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal dystrophies, and uveitis, among other concerns. Emory Eye Center’s recent addition of Retina physician Steven Yeh, MD, will enable the increased services on Johnson Ferry Road.

Dr. Yeh attended medical school at Baylor College of Medicine, completed an internship and ophthalmology residency at Cullen Eye Institute (Baylor), and completed a clinical and research fellowship in uveitis, ocular immunology and medical retina at the National Eye Institute of the National Institutes of Health.

Most recently, Dr. Yeh completed his vitreoretinal diseases and surgery fellowship at the Casey Eye Institute (Oregon Health & Science University) and at the Devers Eye Institute (Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center).

His clinical areas of expertise include advanced diagnostics for the management of infectious and noninfectious uveitis; age-related macular degeneration; diabetic retinopathy; and retinal detachment surgery.

“We are pleased to be able to offer subspecialty care to our patients living on the north side of Atlanta at a clinic convenient to them,” says Dr. Timothy W. Olsen, director of Emory Eye Center. “This new option will provide access to an Emory Eye Center ophthalmologist who can provide the highest level of care for retinal disorders. Dr. Yeh is a talented physician and will be an asset to that community’s health care offerings.“

~~~ Emory Eye Center’s pioneering retinal research, such as innovative new drug treatments, clinical trials for retinal disorders and new laser treatments, aim to help revolutionize the treatment of macular degeneration, the leading cause of blindness in individuals over age 60.
The Emory Clinic at Perimeter offers ample parking and morning appointments for Retina services on selected Mondays. To make a Retina appointment at The Emory Clinic Perimeter, call 404-778-2020.
